Tulsa will likely not see snow today or tonight, but it might receive some rain.

The National Weather Service forecasts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon today and before midnight. New rainfall amounts of less than 0.1 of an inch are possible without a thunderstorm.

Tulsa has recorded 0.14 of an inch of rain so far this month, which is 1.39 inches below normal rainfall for this time of December.

Previous possibilities for snow disappeared when precipitation chances moved from overnight tonight up to during the day, when highs in the mid-60s are forecast, with northwest wind gusts up to 35 mph possible today.

Tulsa has rain and snow chances forecast for Monday night, with just rain chances on Christmas Day currently forecast, according to the weather service.

The last time Tulsa recorded any snow was March 8, with trace amounts. The last measurable snowfall was 1.2 inches on Feb. 13.

Tulsa temperatures went down to 33 degrees this morning, continuing a streak of not having freezing temperatures since Dec. 12. However, daily high temperatures are expected to dip to the mid-40s Thursday, with overnight lows in the low 30s tonight and mid-20s Thursday night, the weather service forecasts.

Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 77 degrees on Dec. 1. The lowest was 20 degrees on Dec. 11.
