With Ajamal Kasab's death, terrorism doesn’t end: Ashish Chaudhary

In an exclusive interview to Dailybhaskar.com, actor Ashish Chaudhary, who had lost his sister Monica Chhabaria and her husband in 26/11 terror attacks, tells us why he doesn’t feel the need to rejoice Ajmal Kasab’s death.
Ashish had initially given us a curt reply ‘I don’t care’ when we asked him to share his perspective on her sister’s killer’s death. But when we insisted, he shared his feelings and thoughts.
“I have two kids. My elder kid was about 11 and the younger one barely 7 when terrorists attacked Mumbai. I understand my responsibilities as a father of two. Honestly, I don’t want to preach my kids in a wrong way by rejoicing Kasab’s death. Kids invariably look up to their parents and I am not willing to inculcate wrong values in them. I think, Kasab as a kid must have been preached to kill people in the name of religion. We need to instill good values and ethics in our kids and stop being fanatic about religion.”
When asked if he feels relieved now, he said, “I think as a new-born baby, Kasab would have been as cute as my son. I guess, he was born in the wrong place, wrong environment and to wrong people. Most importantly, he thought whatever he did was correct. He was psychologically tampered and see what has happened with him today. “
“With Kasab death, terrorism doesn’t end. I also want to say that we should not be fanatic about religion. Instead, we should believe in the concept that God is one. Let’s inculcate good values in our kids and make this world a better place to live in.”
