Ram Kapoor to host Come Dine With Me on Life OK!

Looks like loads of delicious surprises are in store for television’s much loved Golu Uncle. And do you know how he plans to slurp it all up?

Yet another foreign television format –again, one that revolves around yummy food – is all set to make its way into the Indian households. But this time, it won’t be all about hot and stuffy kitchens with chefs sweating it out over a dish. Instead, Ram Kapoor is all set to take us on a memorable dining experience that will feature celebs from the TV world in a brand new reality show called Come Dine With Me that will kick off on Life OK from January 19.

So what is this show all about? Food? Relationship? Friendship? Actually, all this and much more. In this format that originally hails from the UK television, a group of amateur chefs come together and host dinner parties with cuisines they have prepared. And so, amidst the conversations that take place over dinner, people earn and lose points on their cooking. And Ram Kapoor, who is a befitting host, will (we assume) play the referee-cum-host for this show.

But there’s one teeny-weeny thought that troubles us. We know how much our beloved Golu Uncle (ofBade Acche Lagte Hain) loves his food, right? So will there be enough left for the contestants? With a wide grin, we hope so! Also, now we’re sure that with such a foody show under his wing, we won’t get to see a slimmer Ram Kapoor anywhere in near future. Hehehe! Agreed?
