Akshay Kumar’s sister Alka Bhatia tied the knot with construction honcho Surendra Hiranandani on December 23. The wedding looked like a big fat Indian ceremony, which was organised in a traditional way. Akshay Kumar was spotted tying an orange cloth on son Aarav’s head – as part of the ritual. Twinkle Khanna looked resplendent in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla outfit. The baby pink ensemble and the gold accessories chimed perfectly. Dimple Kapadia and Rinke Khanna also opted for ethnic outfits.Akshay’s son Aarav seemed to be taking in everything his dad was teaching him about what happens in a typical Punjabi wedding. The kid was also seen holding the ceremonial sword in his hand.
We hear Akshay was quite reluctant to give his nod to this wedding, but looks like he finally had to relent to his sister’s wishes. All in all, it looked like a lavish Punjabi do, with Twinkle looking like a million bucks and AK stepping into the shoes of a typical Punjabi munda…
